Horse Supported Counseling, Learning, and Growth.
( aka, EAP, EAC, EAT
, HAT, EFP )

The Gypsy Horses of A Wizards Spell Ranch in Burleson, Texas
have an exceptionally astute, sensitive, calm, smart, and loving nature.
Because of this they provide immediate feedback.
If you are a member of our military suffering from PTSD, TBI, MST, stress/anxiety, family issues,
stressed, unhappy, angry, feeling grief or lack of self-esteem,
having personal or family issues, or work life issues, the horses will provide you an opportunity
to develop insight into your particular challenge and take control of it.
Due to their ability to act a a biofeedback machine, you cannot fool a horse.

Join other veterans, spouses, and their families
along with an Equine Specialist, Counselor, or peer-to-peer support group and of course,
the Gypsy Horses to see if there can be a difference in your life.

For Doctors -  Counselors -  Therapists

Again, this is NOT a riding program.  It is a mental health and learning program.

We welcome you to the world of Horse Supported Counseling and therapy.
If you are unfamiliar with how this program works we would welcome an opportunity to explain in great detail as well as provide you a demonstration at the ranch.

Anecdotal studies over many years have shown that there are fast proven results from working with clients in an experiential way with the horses.  It is not new to have "therapy animals".  Since the emotional state of humans can also impact our physiology it only makes sense that the horses can "sense" those changes.
Caring for horses and the lifestyle necessary to provide that care can teach important life skills and communication skills as horses communicate without words. This can show how actions have consequences and influence others in our lives.
Horses provide compassion, understanding, and humility which are all elements necessary for a happy life and self awareness and growth.

Some specific areas that might benefit from this type of program are :

Trauma - PTSD
Traumatic Brain Injury
MST
Stress/Anxiety
Grief/Loss
Reintegration Issues
Trust Issues
Substance Abuse
Impulse Control
Poor Self-Esteem

.....to name a few.
